Do you remember the girl band Spice Girls? I think everybody knows this group. It was a very popular British girl band formed in 1994 with the fallowing components: Emma Bunton who was Baby Spice, Geri Halliwell as Ginger Spice, Melanie Chisholm as Sporty Spice, Victoria Beckham (née Adams) who is nicknamed Posh Spice and Melanie Brown nicknamed Scary Spice. They signed with the prestigious company Virgin Records and in 1996 the Spice Girls released their debut song "Wannabe" a song that made around the world.

They became known all over the world and this was the beginning of the Spice Girls frenzy. This song became hit number-one in 31 countries. They paved the way for the commercial breakthrough of teen pop in the 1990s. They sold the first album, Spice, in more than 23 million copies worldwide. They made history becoming the best-selling album by a female group in music history. Their mentor and manager that guide their way through the glory was Simon Fuller. Through his guidance they knew the real success and sold over 75 million records worldwide with only four albums and eleven singles. They became in short time the most successful British band since The Beatles Since 1996 the members of the group received from the Pops magazine nicknames, that were adopted by everybody including the group, Scary, Baby, Ginger, Posh and Sporty. "Girl Power" was a slogan that characterized then and which governed the decade. They were known as the biggest cultural icons of the 1990s. The group divided, because in june 1998, Geri Halliwell left the group creating a big controversy regarding the reason of living the band. After Geri Halliwell left the band the other girls released on the market their third album and in 2000 they decided to go on separate ways and built solo careers. Hot is the debut solo album, released at the end of the year 2000 and included including the monster hit I Want You Back a collaboration with Missy Elliott. In the next years, Mel B embraced a career as successful presenter and actress. In 1999 she gave birth to a girl Phoenix Chi with her first husband Jimmy Gulzar. In 2006, she had a short relationship with the famous Hollywood actor Eddie Murphy that materialized with the birth of the second baby girl called Angel Iris. The second pregnancy of the former Spice Girls member Mel B, created controversy, because the father of her baby, the famous actor Eddie Murphy had doubts regarding the paternity of the singer's baby. He stated that people should not make assumptions regarding the subject of the father of Mel B child. He also said that he will believe that the baby is his and live up to his responsability after the blood test. The DNA test came positive and confirmed the fact that Eddie Murphy is the real father of Mel B's child. After the result of the DNA test, Murphy declared that he will take financial responsability for the baby, but he never said that he wants to see his baby. After this relationship, she got married with the famous Hollywood producer Stephen Belafonte and they planned to have a baby together to form a family.
