Sex nowadays, is not such a controversial subject as it was many years ago. Today, people talk freely about sex, and everyone knows exactly what is the deal with sex, sex positions, sex problems etc. Even so, there are many women, and girls that remain pregnant , or catch all kinds of diseases. Why? Because all that information doesn't help you with nothing, when you find yourself in front of the guy you like. Many women, let themselves be carried away by the moment and so, make a terrible mistake. Pregnancy should be a decision made by both partners, after they are married or when they have something stable. Pregnancy involves raising a child, giving him whatever he needs. Pregnancy should come in the right time and not sooner.  Statistics show that in America, pregnancy rate has increased over the years, but abortions and teen pregnancy have the biggest percent of all pregnancies.

Sex is not only for grownups, because if the organism says you are ready, then you are. Many girls are not mentally ready, because in what regards the body, they are very developed. Young girls do not have an idea about the consequences of their actions. Having a baby at such a young age, means ruining your entire future. Many girls are forced to quit school, either because they cannot go to classes or because they are ashamed of what they have done. Education is essential nowadays, and after having a baby, who can follow classes and concentrate at studying when you need money to provide a nice life to your new born baby. Young girls usually get a bad job, that is payed very low, but still they need money ,and so, it doesn't matter what they do.

Parents should be more supportive, even from the beginning. Maybe one cause of teenage pregnancies is the fact that children do not talk openly with their parents and they do things by their back. Also, sex education in schools, is not so educational as we might think. Teachers are still prude, and they advice teenagers to not have sex, not to be careful when they do it. There are condoms, but if you do not want or like them, because many say they diminish the pleasure, girls can take birth control pills, can use diaphragms etc.

In the end, pregnancy can affect anyone, doesn't matter the age, anyone who is not ready. Pregnancy involves responsibility, financial status, stability etc. A child is a living soul, so why would you want to make him suffer or raise in a broken family, with many worries and no satisfactions?
