Fifteen Weeks Pregnancy
Fifteen weeks pregnancy is a period quite pleasant. The morning nausea and the eructation completely disappear. You will start notice (physically) that you are pregnant. The growing rhythm of your baby is fast, his/her internal organs are already formed and some organs like the heart and the kidneys continue their development. Probably you have gained weight, but this thing is different from one woman to another. The high levels of estrogen may cause the inflammation of the nasal mucous and this fact is very common in the fifteen weeks pregnancy.



The development of the baby in the fifteen weeks pregnancy – the baby has grown more in weight and in length. On his/her red and wrinkled skin start to grow small filaments of hair called Lanugos. These filaments help the baby to maintain a constant temperature and they completely disappear until birth. The baby can swallow food and he/she has the capacity to hear you and the rest of the sounds from the environment.

It is possible to feel the baby’s movement followed by breaks, dependant on how the baby moves, hits, sleeps or eats. The baby’s skin is very thin and the blood vessels are still visible. The legs have grown longer than the arms and now the body is longer than the head. The nails of fingers and toes have started to grow and the baby begins having hair on the head and eyebrows.

The baby has now taste buds and, in time, he/she will start to hiccup. The three little bones from the internal ear start consolidating, but the center of hearing does not develop so fast and it is possible that the baby will not understand what he/she hears, but the hearing starts forming. That is why the amniotic liquid carries to the baby the sounds from the exterior to the interior and the baby hears in the first place the sound of his/her mother’s heart, her stomach and her voice.

Changes of your body in the fifteen weeks pregnancy – most of women have already gain some kilograms, what it cannot be compared with the weight before the birth. It does not matter how much weight you gain now, especially that this aspect is related to the mother’s physique. But if gaining or losing weight become too accentuated it is good to see a doctor. Also it is good to ask for doctor’s advice about the pregnancy diet, because he/she will explain to you what to include in your alimentation and what to avoid eating.

At the doctor will be effectuated specific prenatal measures and at the big clinics it will be made even a graphic of the pregnancy’s evolution. This aspect may give information about the baby’s position. You may feel how ligaments of the stomach extend as the uterus continues to grow and this think may cause cramps and unpleasant sensations on the one or both parts of the abdomen. These sensations can be reduced by taking a bath in warm water.

There are some bacterial infections during the pregnancy, such as: infections of the urinary tract, bacterial vaginosis (increases the risks of premature birth). You can reduce the risk of infections by wearing clean and airy clothes and avoiding close-fitting clothes and underclothes. As well, you should avoid swimming in dirty pools and avoid perfumed sprays and soaps and it is indicated to drink 8-9 glasses of water per day.
