Nowadays, sex is no longer a tabu subject. Teenagers today have more knowledge about sexual life and about what they should do than many of the adults I know. Why is this? Because there are informational articles , films and magazines that explain without any coverage in small details anything that's ex includes. But the only problem is that teenagers know in theory and not in practice. They fail the actual test because they don't know how is done and they begin to have problems.
In America the rate of abortions has increased considerably in the last few years because of this matter. In schools, sexual education doesn't give teenagers what they want. Sex ed is just some boring commentaries and some lecturers about what they shouldn't do and not about how they should.Saying to a teenager that he is not allowed to do something will only ambition him more. Many teenage girls start their sex life at an early age, because they are curious and they end up doing it with all the wrong boys. Sex should be a pleasant experience and not something that has repercussions.
American Pregnancy means that many young American girls lead a very hectic life and are free to do whatever they want. Parents send their kids to colleges in other states and lose control over them. Americans are the most sexual people, and also the most problematic ones. They have the most high rate of teenage pregnancies in the world and also the most high rate in abortions too. Pregnancy should be a beautiful period in a woman's life , and shouldn't be considered as a burden. Many teenagers are forced to quit schools and take of their baby. There was also a movie made on this theme, with a high school girl who decided to keep the baby and send it to adoption. This is a common case, and the film tries to emphasize the fact that children make mistakes and they should be more responsible if they want to be treated as adults.
Pregnancy means more responsibility, means having a home and someone by your side. The most important thing when having sex is to wear protection. Either condoms or birth control pills. The only problem is , that parents don't let their teenage girls to start taking pills because they say it's too early. I advice them differently. In order to be safe you have to think rationally. Nowadays a fifteen years old girl is on the verge of finding out what sex is so, parents should be more understanding , and try to live up to the new mentality.
In America , life is better. Or so we see it. There are parties all the time in colleges, there are frat parties , with alcohol and many puberty teens who want to experience everything. Here many things can happen. Using a condom will also protect you from any disease, but i know that many don't use condoms because they diminish the pleasure, and so it's a very big risk. In the end, what can we do? We can only be more responsible and think in advance, further than the next five minutes of pleasure.
